Even though we aren’t Millennials, as we age we understand the importance more and more of living life to the fullest, and exchanging ownership of things, to ownership of amazing memories and moments with family and friends.
These surveys reminded us of some of the other trends in popular businesses such as Airbnb. Just 10 years ago, renting out or couches and bedrooms were unheard-of. Now it’s ‘almost’ more popular than staying at a resort. Rent-the-Runway is another example where renting that perfect designer label to wear this weekend is a mere click away, and just as easily sent back as soon as the weekend becomes a memory.
The online furniture rental company Feather offers customers “furniture freedom” rent a range of furniture styles from Standard, Hip to Premium, allowing the consumer to experience (rent) their style choice for three or 12 months at a time, without the expense.
